Introduction to Positive Discipline: for Parents and Childcare Providers

An Evening Workshop for Parents, Caregivers, Teachers, Administrators, Owners, and Directors

Online registration will not available for this training in Bellevue until the next date has been scheduled. Please contact us at with any questions you have about specific workshops, including requests to host trainings at your center or school.

This interactive workshop introduces work of Alfred Adler, Rudolf Dreikurs, Jane Nelsen, Lynn Lott and others. Whether you are new to Positive Discipline, read the book long ago, or have been hoping to build upon your current knowledge, you are welcome to attend this training! We will explore a brief overview of the Positive Discipline philosophy, review current neurobiological research that supports the approach, and – in response to attendees’ specific questions and needs – investigate some of the most useful Positive Discipline exercises and tools for guiding children’s developing self-discipline. When caregivers and parents work together balancing firmness with kindness, children can relax into the security of feeling and knowing that they are respected, connected, and significant. Attendees who are interested may later choose to pursue a series of seven additional classes following the Positive Discipline curriculum.
