Intro Evening to Positive Discipline

An Evening Workshop for Parents, Caregivers, Teachers, Administrators, Owners, and Directors

Online registration will not available for this training in Bellevue until the next date has been scheduled. Please contact us at with any questions you have about specific workshops, including requests to host trainings at your center or school.

Based on the book by Jane Nelsen, the experiential Positive Discipline classes are a fun way to connect with other parents and explore discipline with firmness and kindness. This intro evening introduces work of Alfred Adler, Rudolf Dreikurs, Jane Nelsen, Lynn Lott and others. Whether you are new to Positive Discipline, read the book long ago, or have been hoping to build upon your current knowledge, you are welcome to attend this event! We will explore a brief overview of the Positive Discipline philosophy, review current neurobiological research that supports the approach, and – in response to attendees’ specific questions and needs – investigate some of the most useful Positive Discipline lenses for guiding children’s developing self-discipline. When caregivers and parents work together balancing firmness with kindness, children can relax into the security of feeling and knowing that they are respected, connected, and significant.

Attendees of the Intro Evening may register for a series of seven classes following the Positive Discipline curriculum.
